A Fun Way to Onboard New Employees

On-boarding new employees is one of the most important things a company can do to ensure their success. Not only does it give new employees a chance to learn about the company and their role within it, but it also helps to engage them and get them excited about their new job.

What's a fun way to onboard new employees? Prepare a welcome kit that they can complete with a short scavenger hunt around the office.

There are many different ways to onboard a new hire. Some companies prefer to have a more formal onboarding process, while others take a more casual approach. The key is to find what supports the company culture you want to establish, as well tuning into a new employee’s expectations.

Each new staff learns in varying ways. Some people are visual learners, while others do well with simply taking notes. At the end of the orientation, a company can say that they’ve done it right when the new team members feel comfortable asking questions.

Onboarding with Swag

Welcome kits are a must-have these days. They can include anything from a welcome letter from the CEO to a full kit of company-branded items like notepads, reusable water bottles, computer bags, and even a desk plant!

One fun way to onboard new hires is by having them complete a scavenger hunt. This not only allows them to get to know their new workplace, but it can also be a fun bonding experience with their new team members.

Each station could have an item that completes a welcome kit.
